A Dhaka court has ordered defence to submit the High Court order on its stay over Barapukuria graft case proceedings on April 13.
Judge Hosne Ara Begum of Special Judge Court 2 passed the order on Monday morning.
Bench Assistant of the court Dewan Ashik said Monday was fixed for submitting the HC stay order before the court.
"But defence lawyers filed a time petition mentioning that the High Court is scheduled to pass order on April 5 on its previous order that stayed the case proceedings," he said.
He said the court then ordered to submit the HC order and produce three accused -- Khandakar Mosharraf Hossain, Motiur Rahman Nizami and Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mojaheed -- who are in jail, on April 13.
The ACC on February 26, 2008, filed the case with Shahbagh police station, accusing Khaleda and 10 of her former cabinet colleagues of taking Tk159 crore in kickbacks on the Barapukuria coalmine deal awarded to the highest bidder, instead of the lowest one.
Responding to a petition filed by Khaleda, the HC on October 16, 2008, stayed the case proceedings and issued a rule asking the ACC to explain why the case should not be quashed.
A former prime minister, Khaleda Zia is facing arrest warrant in the Zia Orphanage Trust and Zia Charitable Trust graft cases.
Special Judge Abu Ahmed Jamadar issued the warrant for Khaleda’s arrest on February 25 as she had skipped several court dates.
