National Cricketer Rubel Hossain has been freed on bail in a case rape case filed by actress and model Naznin Akter Happy.
Rubel's lawyer Moniruzzaman Asad told the Dhaka Tribune that the cricketer came out of Dhaka Central Jail around 4:45pm on Sunday.
Earlier in the day, a Dhaka court granted bail to Ruben until submission of a police report in the case.
Dhaka Metropolitan Acting Session Judge Imrul Kayes granted the bail upon a Tk50,000 bond on Sunday afternoon.
The court sent Rubel Hossain to jail after he had surrendered and pleaded for bail on Thursday.
Happy filed the case with the Mirpur police station under the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act on December 13.
The High Court granted a four-week anticipatory bail to Rubel on December 15.
