The High Court has granted six-months bail to BNP Senior Vice-Chairman Tarique Rahman's Personal Secretary Miah Nuruddin Apu, in an extortion case.
A HC bench comprising Mahmudul Hoque and Salma Masud Chowdhury passed the order on Monday afternoon.
However, he would not be freed from jail as there is a corruption case against him by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
In 2008, an extortion case was filed against Apu with Gulshan police station.
