Departmental action has been taken against four police officials as they illegally operated mobile courts in areas under Dhunat upazila in Bogra and disrespected a judge.
OC (investigation) Mozaffar Hossain and OC Mottaleb Hossain of Dhunat police station were closed, while Sub-inspector Alhaj and Assistant Sub-inspector Anisur Rahman were transferred to Kahalu police station from Dhunat for being discourteous to Justice Badruzzaman.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Gaziur Rahman, also the in-charge of the media cell at Bogra police, confirmed the news and said disciplinary action had been taken against four policemen on his verbal order as the four failed to maintain proper courtesy before the judge, who went to the upazila for visiting his in-laws' house.
The judge noticed the mobile court, illegally formed on July 2, which punished a person, Gaziur added.
