Israel’s attack on Palestinians protested

Students and teachers in a protest rally yesterday demanded an immediate stop to the heinous Israeli attacks on children and women living in Palestine.

Over 100 students of different educational institutions and Facebook activists formed a human chain at the Press Club premises in city’s Jamal Khan area  around 3pm, protesting the ongoing genocide by Israel in Palestine.

Holding placards and banners, the demonstrators chanted slogans, urging international organisations to stop the genocide in Gaza city by Israeli troops.

Speakers at the protest rally said the Israeli Air forces had attacked the unarmed innocent children, women and people, and revealed the regime’s brutal characteristics, while the human rights groups of developing countries are keeping silent on this issue.

They also urged the United Nations and Islamic organisations to take immediate steps against the Israeli army.

Niaz Uddin, teacher of Political Science at Chittagong University (CU), Sayid Ahsan Khalid, Jakir Hossen, teachers of Law faculty of CU, Mashud Forhan Ovi, vice-president of CU Journalists Association (CUJA), among others, addressed the rally.
