The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court has ordered that Desh Energy Ltd’s share could not be transferred.
Justice Hasan Foez Siddique, the chamber judge of the apex court, has imposed a status quo order on Sunday on the share holding position at the company which means that none can issue, purchase or sell shares of the company.
The order came up following a petition of two founders of the company, Reshad Imam, a lawyer of the petitioners told the Dhaka Tribune.
Earlier, the chamber judge stayed the High Court judgement that had directed Annisul Huq, chairman of the board of directors of Desh Energy Ltd, and his son Navidul Huq to buy the rest of the 20% shares from its two founders, Nuher Latif Khan and Saba Khan.
