The High Court has issued a rule asking as to why the industries secretary and 13 others should not be punished for contempt of court for their failure to transfer the tanneries from capital’s Hajaribagh.
The HC bench of Justice Md Ashfaqul Islam and Justice Md Ashraful Kamal issued the rule on Tuesday afternoon following a petition lodged by Human Rights and Peace for Bangladesh.
The respondents have been asked to give reply within two weeks.
