The High Court has ordered that the name of mass media, number plates for vehicle and signboards to be written in Bangla in every sphere.
The court also asked the authority concerned to inform it without taking much time on the compliance of the order.
However, the order would not be effective for the embassies and foreign institutions, the HC said.
The bench of Justice Quazi Reza-Ul Hoque and Justice ABM Altaf Hossain passed the order in Bangla following a writ petition of Supreme Court lawyer Eunus Ali Akond.
