Oishee sent to Juvenile Development Centre

A Dhaka Court on Saturday sent Oishee Rahman, daughter of slain Special Branch Inspector Mahfuzur Rahman and his wife Shapna Rahman, to Juvenile Development Centre at Konabari, Gazipur, after she gave confessional statement under the section 164 before it.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Muhammad Anwar Sadat passed the order after recording Oishee's statement. Sumi was also sent to Juvenile Development Centre after making her confessional statement before the same court.

 

Earlier in the day, Assistant Commissioner of Detective Branch Jewel Rana produced Oishee and Sumi  before the court on completion of  5-day remand. 

SB inspector Mahfuzur Rahman, 48, and his wife Swapna Rahman, 40, were found dead in their Chamelibagh flat on August 16. Oishee, an O level student, along with their domestic help Sumi had gone missing following the murder.

On August 17, Oishee came to the Paltan Police Station and surrendered to the police.

She was taken to the DB office at Minto Road. Later, police along with Oishee conducted a drive at different parts of the city and arrested four people in connection with the murder case.
