WIPO appoints BIPF founder as national consultant in Bangladesh

The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) has appointed Barrister ABM Hamidul Mishbah, founder of Bangladesh IP Forum (BIPF), as its national consultant in Bangladesh. 

An agreement was signed recently in this regard, according to a press statement issued by the BIPF.

Hamidul, a practising lawyer at Bangladesh Supreme Court, has garnered high appraisal due to his instrumental contribution in promoting intellectual property rights and raising awareness around the country in this regard.

The BIPF plays a pivotal role in protecting intellectual property rights in Bangladesh and helps build an effective regime to do so. 

WIPO is expected to further the cause of protecting the intellectual property rights in Bangladesh through various policies with Hamidul playing a key role.
