Mukto-Mona blogger, Ananta Bijoy Das murder case accused Abdul Munaim, a student of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, has given confessional statement before a Sylhet court.
Metropolitan Magistrate-3 Anowarul Haq recorded Munaim's statement under section 164 of the code of criminal procedure (CrPC).
Organised Crime Inspector of CID Arman Ali also the investigation officer (IO) of Ananta Bijoy Das murder case confirmed the news to media.
The CID official said after the confession law enforcers arrested another SUST student in connection with the murder on Tuesday night.
The arrestee is Abul Khayer Rashid Ahmed, 24, a third year student of anthropology department.
Later, Abul Khayer was produced before the court and sought 15 days remand.
The court granted a 7 day remand in response, he added.
Mukto-Mona blogger, Ananta Bijoy Das, was hacked to death by masked assailants in Subid Bazar area of Sylhet city.
On May 12, Ananta came under attack around 8:30am when he was on his way to work at a bank from home.
