As many as 429 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals in the country in 24 hours to Monday morning.
"During the period, 149 patients were hospitalized in Barisal division, 57 in Chittagong, 61 in Dhaka, 42 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), 45 in Dhaka South City corporation (DSCC), 21 in Khulna, and 54 in Rajshahi division were admitted to different hospitals," said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The total number of dengue cases rose to 10,296. Forty-two deaths have been reported this year.
Last year, the total number of cases was 101,214 and 575 deaths were reported, the statement added.
