Thirteen people in Bangladesh tested positive for Covid-19 in 24 hours till Tuesday morning.
This information was disclosed in a regular Covid-19 press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The DGHS said that two people recovered from Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, with no new fatalities reported.
Last Thursday, one person died of Covid-19 in the capital.
The DGHS reported that the deceased was a male patient undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Dhaka.
Meanwhile, in a statement issued on Friday by Md Mamun Or Rashid, public relations officer of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, it was stated: “Considering the rising rate of Covid-19 infections, everyone is requested to wear masks in crowded areas.
"The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has especially advised elderly and ill individuals to avoid such places.”
