Dhaka North City Corporation Mayor Md Atiqul Islam said actions will be taken conducting mobile court drives from March 1 for not carrying Covid-19 vaccine certificates in shops and institutions.
The city corporation will conduct mobile court drives, he said.
Atiqul made the remark after visiting Suchona Community Centre's mass inoculation campaign in the capital’s Mohammadpur area.
Atiqul requested authorities to continue the campaign as long as people keep coming to the centres.
“Ensure no one gets left out from receiving the jabs. Keep vaccinating till night if needed,” he added.
Earlier, there were document-related complications but now anyone can receive a certificate after getting two shots of Covid-19 vaccines, he said.
“Shops will be shut if owner, staff don’t receive vaccines by March 1.”
