The consignment from Japan arrived at the Dhaka airport around 7pm on Saturday, said Health Ministry spokesperson Maidul Islam.
With the latest shipment, Bangladesh has received more than three million doses of the vaccine from the country under the Covax facility.

Bangladesh launched its mass inoculation drive by using Covishield — the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine manufactured by Serum Institute of India — in February.
However, some 1.5 million people were left hanging for the second dose of the vaccine after the stock of the jabs purchased from India ran out and the neighbouring country banning exports citing domestic demand.
The dispensation of the second dose of the vaccine was continued earlier this month.
