Barisal division logged 11 more Covid-19-related deaths in the past 24 hours till Saturday morning.
Of the deceased, health officials said, five were confirmed Covid-19 patients while the other six were symptomatic.
Of the five confirmed patients, three died in Barisal and one each in Jhalakathi and Barguna -- taking the division’s death toll to 590, confirmed the divisional health director Dr Basudeb Kumar Das.
Between Friday and Saturday mornings, the division also recorded 170 new Covid-19 cases -- which was the lowest in three weeks -- taking the total number of cases to 40,762.
In the past 24 hours, 345 people across the division also made recovery, taking the total number of recovered patients to 23,627.
