The health authorities in Bangladesh have administered 7,577,889 Covid-19 vaccine doses so far since the start of the inoculation campaign.
Till Wednesday, 5,761,902 people had received their first dose of the vaccine, while 1,815,987 people had received their second dose, reports Bangla Tribune.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), 16,817 people received their first dose of the vaccine, manufactured by Serum Institute of India, and 137,798 people received their second jab on Wednesday across the country.

Altogether 7,168,809 people had signed up to be immunized against the infectious disease till 5:30pm on Wednesday, said the DGHS.
Bangladesh launched its nationwide vaccination drive on February 7. The Covid-19 vaccine is administered every day from 8:30am till 2:30pm at government designated inoculation centres.
