Sheikh Rehana, younger daughter of Father of the Nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and sister of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, has received her first shot of Covid-19 vaccine.
She received the shot on Wednesday morning, the press wing of the Prime Minister’s Office confirmed.
The nationwide vaccination in Bangladesh began on February 7. As of Tuesday, February 23, more than 2.49 million people have received the first shot of the vaccine – developed by Oxford University and AstraZeneca – in the country.
