A total of 39 personnel in the subordinate courts across the country have tested positive for Covid-19.
Of those infected, 13 are judges, and the remaining 26 are other employees.
Four other judges, with symptoms of coronavirus, are staying in isolation.
According to a Supreme Court press release, Ferdous Ahmed, judge for the Lalmonirhat women and children repression prevention tribunal, is in the intensive care unit (ICU) at the combined military hospital (CMH), being treated by plasma therapy.
Shamim Ahmed, judge for the Dhaka Special Session Judge Court-8, was also admitted to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) after her test results returned positive.
Kiran Sankar Halder, judge for the Kishorgonj woman and woman and children repression prevention tribunal, Md Rustom Ali, judge for the Joypurhat woman and children repression prevention tribunal, S Mohammad Ali, Deputy Secretary at the Law and Justice division, Md Toyub Ali, judge for Kurigram land Survey Tribunal, Rejmin Sultana, special magistrate at DPDC-2, Md Mehedi Hasan, assistant judge at Netrokona, Sipul Kumar Dey, senior judicial magistrate at Chittagong, Abu Saleh Noman, metropolitan magistrate at Chittagong, and Md Nizamuddin, judicial magistrate for Hatiya Chowki court at Noakhali are receiving treatments from home.
Concerned district judges have requested necessary steps to ensure the treatment for the 26 infected employees.
In addition, two committees were formed in order to take necessary measures to ensure treatment of judges of all courts across the country, the release said.
Another circular issued on Tuesday said that subordinate courts inside red zone areas will enjoy the government-declared general holidays. In such areas, only a few magistrates will have to be present at their workstation so that emergency cases under constitutional obligation may be heard.
