One out of every three coronavirus infected policemen in Bangladesh have recovered so far and returned to their posts.
As many as 1,563 policemen have recovered from Covid-19 till Friday, informed Md Sohel Rana, the assistant inspector general (media) of Police Headquarters.
Most of the recovered policemen have rejoined their workplace, he added.
According to the Police Headquarters, so far 4,544 police members, including senior officers of different ranks, have tested Covid-19 positive, while ensuring service and protection for the general public.
The recovery rate of police personnel currently stands at 34.39%.
Under the guidance of Bangladesh Police Inspector General (IGP) Benazir Ahmed, necessary measures have been taken to provide proper treatment and best available service to the police members infected with coronavirus.
As a result, the recovery rate of coronavirus infected police officials is increasing rapidly, while the number of new infections is also declining, commented Police Headquarters.
