The health condition of Gonoshasthaya Kendra founder Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury, who tested positive for Covid-19, has improved.
He has also been suffering from kidney problems and undergoing dialysis regularly for years.
Dr Mohib Ullah Khondoker, one of the scientist of Gonoshasthaya Kendra, said : “His (Dr Zafrullah) health condition is in a good state now and he is undergoing dialysis."
“On May 22, sir (Zafrullah) gave his sample for Covid-19 testing. He tested positive on May 25,” he added.
Dr Zafrullah showed his strong presence during the liberation war in 1971 by opening up medical camps and treating wounded freedom fighters.
Now he and his organization Gonoshasthaya Kendra is struggling to get government’s approval for Covid-19 testing rapid kit they invented.
