Another member of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has died of Covid-19.
The deceased was Jalal Uddin Khoka, 47, a traffic constable with Dhaka East Traffic Division.
A press note was published in this regard by the Police Headquarters on Saturday.
He tested positive for coronavirus on April 26 and was undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Rajarbagh Central Police Hospital in the capital.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters and a son.
To date, Bangladesh Police have reported the deaths of seven police personnel from the deadly virus. All of them were posted in the DMP.
