Bangladesh Aichi Medical Group has made an agreement with Japan's Ship Healthcare Holdings Inc to build 600-bed specialized hospital in the capital's Uttara.
The agreement was signed on Thursday at the capital's Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel.
Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim was present during the agreement signing ceremony.
Bangladesh Aichi Medical Group Chairman Dr. Md Moazzem Hossain and Ship Healthcare Holdings Inc Chairman Hirotaka Ogawa signed the agreement from their respective company.
While speaking on the occasion, Nasim said: “Our government encourages the private sector to come with heath service. He also said the government is firmly committed to provide better health service to the people from grassroots level.”
20 seats will be allocated for the poor people in this new specialized hospital and they will get totally free health treatment, said Dr. Moazzem.
