Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will deliver his address in Bangla at the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), Foreign Secretary Asad Alam Siam has said.
He made the statement while responding to questions from journalists at a briefing at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday.
In his address, the prime minister is expected to highlight Bangladesh’s democratic progress, the rule of law and accountability, global peace and security, climate change, sustainable development and economic cooperation.
He will also speak on youth and women’s empowerment, education and health, the Rohingya crisis, equitable and inclusive access to modern technology, and reform of the multilateral system.
