The government has appointed AJM Salahuddin Nagari as secretary to the President’s Office.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a gazette notification on Friday appointing him on a contractual basis as secretary of the Public Division of the President’s Office.
The notification, issued by the ministry’s Senior Appointment Wing-1, was signed by Senior Secretary Md Barman Hossain by order of the president.
Nagari, currently chairman of the Land Reform Board with the rank of secretary, has been appointed to the new post on a contractual basis, according to the notification.
The order, issued in the public interest, will take effect immediately.
One small point: If the official designation is “Secretary, Public Division, President’s Office,” I’d use that wording consistently rather than “secretary to the President’s Office.”
