Four new faces to join cabinet, take oath Friday night

Four new members are set to join Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s cabinet, with President-elect Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir scheduled to administer their oaths at Bangabhaban at 7:30pm on Friday,

The new cabinet members are BNP Standing Committee member and lawmaker Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan,  Jatiya Party chairman and lawmaker Barrister Andaleeve Rahman, Bandarban lawmaker Sa Ching Prue Jerry and Gaibandha-4 lawmaker Mohammad Shamim Kaiser Lincoln, according to media reports. 

The appointments are also likely to bring changes to several key ministries, including civil aviation, agriculture, food, power and energy, local government, and information and broadcasting.

The oath-taking ceremony will be held at Bangabhaban’s Durbar Hall alongside the swearing-in of the newly elected president.
