The government has promoted Economic Relations Division (ERD) Additional Secretary Mirana Mahrukh to the rank of secretary of the Power Division.
The Senior Appointment Branch-1 of the Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard on Tuesday. Senior Assistant Secretary Jeti Pro signed the order on behalf of the President.
The order stated that the appointment has been made in the public interest and will take immediate effect.
Mirana Mahrukh is a BCS 18th batch cadre officer. She holds a Bachelor’s (Honours) and Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Dhaka, and an MBA from Victoria University of Melbourne.
In her career, she has served in various field administration and ministerial positions. She has also previously worked abroad as Counsellor and Head of Chancery at the Bangladesh Consulate General in Hong Kong.
