CA to hold meeting with police Monday

Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus is set to hold a meeting on law and order with 127 police officers, including field-level police officials, at his office on Monday.

Among the attendees will be officers of the rank of superintendent of police (SP) and the commissioners of metropolitan police, along with other field-level officials.

This information was disclosed by the Chief Adviser's Deputy Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Majumdar during a briefing at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital on Sunday.

He said: “The chief adviser will meet with police officers from across the country to discuss the law and order situation. On Monday, he will listen to the field officers’ experiences and provide guidance."

He added: "The inspector general of police (IGP) will deliver the welcome address and explain the initiatives taken by the police. Additionally, the IGP will inform the adviser about efforts to boost police morale.”

Abul Kalam Azad further mentioned: "There is often a gap between perceptions and facts regarding crime. Sometimes, we assume crime rates are high, but the actual figures tell a different story. The chief adviser will address this issue.”

Moreover, six field-level police officers will speak on six focal points, including police logistics, housing, and industrial policing.
