As part of a series of ongoing dialogues, Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus has initiated discussions with Gano Forum among several other political parties and alliances.
The dialogue commenced on Saturday at 3pm at the Chief Adviser’s official residence, Jamuna.
The first group to participate in the dialogue was a nine-member delegation from the Gano Forum, led by Emeritus President Dr Kamal Hossain.
The delegation also included Mostafa Mohsin Montu, chairperson of the coordination committee; co-chairman SM Altaf Hossain; Subrata Chowdhury; and member secretary Mizanur Rahman.
"To discuss the ongoing reformation process the chief adviser has been sitting with several political parties of the country and this episode is also a continuation of this ongoing process," said Mohammad Abul Kalam Azad Majumder, deputy press secretary to the chief adviser on Tuesday evening.
Apart from the dialogue with the political parties, some other issues will be discussed; among them, the most important thing is the price of commodities, he added.
The Awami League government was ousted on August 5 following a student-led uprising. Dr Muhammad Yunus took over as the head of the interim government on August 8.
His government has already held two rounds of talks with political parties.
The primary aim of the dialogue is to inform the political parties on the advancements made in the reform efforts and to gather their feedback.
