11 senior police officers transferred

The Home Ministry has announced the transfer of 11 senior police officers, including DIGs, additional DIGs, and superintendents of police.

The transfer orders were signed by Mohammad Mahbubul Alam Majumder, deputy secretary of the Public Security Division.

The transfers include Mohammad Abdullah Al Mahmud, who has been moved to the Police Headquarters as DIG, and Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan, recently promoted to supernumerary DIG, who will also be stationed at the Police Headquarters.

DIG Imtiaz Ahmed, previously assigned to the River Police, is now appointed as DIG of the Highway Police.

Additionally, Abu Raihan Muhammad Saleh, joint commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, has been appointed as additional commissioner of police in Khulna, while Jasmin Begum, additional DIG at the Police Headquarters, is transferred to the Sylhet Range DIG Office.

Mohammad Shahidullah, formerly additional DIG at the CID, will now be stationed at the Khulna Range DIG Office, and Sunanda Roy, promoted to supernumerary additional DIG, is assigned to the Rajshahi Range DIG Office.

Other notable transfers include Mohammad Ashik Said, superintendent of the River Police, to the Dhaka Range DIG Office, Mohammad Shamsul Haque, promoted to supernumerary superintendent of police, to the CID, and Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman, superintendent of police at the PBI, to DMP.

These transfers are aimed at optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of the police force across various regions.
