New police superintendents have been appointed to oversee 26 districts across the country.
The transfers were announced in a notification issued by the Police-1 branch of the Ministry of Home Affairs on Tuesday.
The notification was signed by Deputy Secretary Md Mahabur Rahman Sheikh on behalf of the president.
According to the notification, new police superintendents have been assigned to the districts of Brahmanbaria, Kurigram, Naogaon, Dinajpur, Sunamganj, Feni, Bogura, Chapainawabganj, Moulvibazar, Faridpur, Joypurhat, Bhola, Khagrachari, Barguna, Cox's Bazar, Rajbari, Pirojpur, Satkhira, Khulna, Kushtia, Narsingdi, Sherpur, Madaripur, Chuadanga, Jhalkathi, and Lalmonirhat.
This order is issued in the public interest and will be effective immediately.
Earlier, on August 27, new police superintendents were appointed in 24 districts including Dhaka, Chittagong, Rangpur, Comilla, Rajshahi, Sylhet, Narayanganj, Jhinaidah, Magura, Tangail, and Narsingdi.
