Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to visit her ancestral home in Tungipara, Gopalganj, today.
The local authorities have taken all out measures to ensure full proof security in the district ahead of PM Hasina’s two-day visit.
As part of the measures, owners of legal firearms in the district will be banned from carrying their weapons for six days. The ban will end on Thursday.
The district magistrate on Monday published a notification in this regard.
