Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been using drawings of children with special needs in her greeting cards on the occasion of different festivals since she assumed state power for the second time in 2009.
The premier has used drawings of 15 children with special needs in her official greeting cards on the occasion of the Bangla New Year 1429 and drawings of 11 children for the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr, according to Prime Minister's Assistant Press Secretary MM Emrul Kayas.
The artists of the selected drawings were given Tk100,000 each as a complimentary prize, Kayas said.
Sheikh Hasina sends the greeting cards to Parliament speaker, chief justice, cabinet members, members of parliament, political leaders, dignitaries, professionals, military and civil officers, ambassadors and high commissioners of different countries, chief of international organizations and heads of state or heads of government of the countries, which have diplomatic relations with Bangladesh.
