The government has appointed Md Golam Sarwar as secretary to the Law and Justice Division of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.
The Law and Justice Division issued an order in this regard on Wednesday.
Golam Sarwar has been made the law division secretary as the contractual appointment of Abu Saleh Sheikh Mohammad Zahirul Haque to the post expired, said an official release.
Golam Sarwar started his career on December 11, 1991 as assistant judge (probationary) at Dhaka Judicial Magistrate Court.
The senior bureaucrat has been performing as a joint secretary to the Law and Justice Division since 2015.
