Additional secretary of the Finance Division Abdur Rouf Talukder has been appointed as acting secretary.
On Monday, President Abdul Hamid appointed Abdur Rouf as the acting secretary of the Finance Division, according to a circular, signed by Deputy Secretary Tamizul Islam Khan of the Ministry of Public Administration.
Abdur Rouf did his MSc from University of Birmingham and MBA with a major in Finance from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) of Dhaka University.
Prior to his promotion, Adbur Rouf served as additional secretary (Budget and Macroeconomics) of the Finance Division of the Finance Ministry, since October 2017.
He was born on August 15, 1964. He is married to Selina Rawshan and has a daughter and a son.
Abdur Rouf has served in many other government positions in his career to date.
