2 new trains for Dhaka-Kolkata

India Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu inaugurated one train from Delhi via video conference around 7:10am at the Chitpur Railway Station, Kolkata yesterday. The other one will be inaugurated by Railways Minister Mazibul Hoque today around 8am at Cantonment Railway Station, Dhaka. The 449-seat train made its first journey with 211 passengers and reached at Darshana Railway Station around 11:35am. Mithun Das, a passenger, said: “The new train is comfortable and I am satisfied with its service.” Mir Liakot Ali, superintendent of Darshana International Railway Station, said: “Train service between Bangladesh and India is getting popularity.”
