President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina have felicitated their Irish counterparts on the occasion of St Patrick's Day of the Republic of Ireland which falls tomorrow, March 17.
In a message sent to Irish President Michael D Higgins, Abdul Hamid expressed his satisfaction over the excellence of bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Ireland, reported BSS.
The president also reiterated that the bonds of friendship and cooperation existing between the two countries would be further strengthened in the years ahead.
In a separate message, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina congratulated Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny and expressed her confidence that the bonds of friendship, understanding and cooperation with Ireland would be further consolidated for mutual benefit of the peoples of the two friendly countries.
Sheikh Hasina wished good health, long life and happiness for the Irish prime minister as well as continued peace, progress and wellbeing of the people of Ireland.
