38 Bangladeshis killed along border in 2013: BGB chief

The director general of Border Guard Bangladesh said at least 38 Bangladeshis were killed along the country’s frontier with India last year.

Major General Aziz Ahmed revealed the information at a press conference held at the Jessore headquarters of 26 BGB Battalion yesterday.

The border chief also said the BGB was constructing around 65 tin-shed buildings at Malopara in Abhaynagar, including two in Monirampur, where two women were recently raped.

The structures are expected to be completed by mid-March, he added.
