Biman Bangladesh Airlines has suspended all flights from Dhaka to Dammam and Riyadh until Sunday (Bangladesh Standard Time) following ongoing security concerns and attacks on Saudi Arabian airports.
The Public Relations Department of Biman Bangladesh Airlines disclosed the information on Thursday afternoon, citing passenger safety concerns. Updated schedules and further decisions regarding the suspended flights will be communicated in due course.
To accommodate affected travelers, Biman informed that passengers can still fly to and from Saudi Arabia using the Jeddah and Medina international airports.
To address the surge in passenger demand, Biman has deployed a larger Boeing 777 aircraft on the Medina route in place of the Boeing 787, adding 148 seats per flight. Additionally, three extra flights have been scheduled on the Jeddah route.
Passengers have been advised to contact their nearest Biman Bangladesh Airlines sales center for ticketing and travel updates.
