Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman held separate meetings with Qatar’s Energy Minister Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi and Finance Minister Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari in Doha.
Adviser to the Prime Minister for Finance and Planning Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir, State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Aninda Islam Amit, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Humayun Kabir and senior officials were present at the meetings.
The discussions covered issues of mutual interest, with particular emphasis on expanding cooperation in energy and finance.
The two sides agreed to form joint working groups to follow up on the issues discussed and promote mutually beneficial cooperation in the sectors.
Dr Khalilur Rahman also invited the two Qatari ministers to visit Bangladesh at a mutually convenient time.
The foreign minister is visiting Doha on a two-day official trip, leading a high-level Bangladesh delegation.
