IAPB CEO meets PM to discuss eye healthcare

International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) Chief Executive Officer Peter Holland paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman at the Bangladesh Secretariat on Monday morning.

Prime Minister's Deputy Press Secretary Shahadat Hossain Swadhin confirmed the meeting.

According to him, the discussions focused on strengthening eye healthcare in Bangladesh, preventing blindness, reducing visual impairment and enhancing cooperation in the sector.

State Minister for Health Dr MA Muhith was also present at the meeting.

Later, Dr Muhith and Holland briefed reporters at the Secretariat on the outcome of the meeting, reports BSS.
