State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaed Islam on Wednesday underscored the importance of enhancing people-to-people contacts, mutual visa waiver agreement, regular bilateral engagements and high-level visits to further deepen the partnership with Morocco.
The issues were discussed when Ambassador of Morocco to Bangladesh Lalla Bouthaina El Kerdoudi El Koulali paid a courtesy call on the state minister at the Ministry.
Both sides discussed avenues to strengthen cooperation in the fields of trade, investment, pharmaceutical, textile, jute and jute goods, maritime, shipbuilding and manpower sectors.
The state minister also emphasized the importance of increased collaboration in sports, culture, science and technology.
The ambassador said location of Morocco is a strategic hub of market access to Africa and Europe.
She offered joint ventures between the two countries in the field of textile and pharmaceuticals and maritime.
She expressed commitment to further strengthening cooperation across all sectors, including the recruitment of skilled and semi-skilled manpower.
The meeting reaffirmed the longstanding friendship and growing bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Morocco.
The state minister welcomed the newly appointed ambassador to Bangladesh and expressed her readiness to extend full cooperation to further enhance the existing relations between the two countries.
