Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh has issued an urgent advisory urging Bangladeshis in Saudi Arabia not to post or share any photos or videos related to the ongoing Middle East conflict on social media.
In the advisory issued on Wednesday, the embassy called on Bangladeshi nationals in Saudi Arabia to exercise caution in light of the current situation in the Middle East and to strictly follow instructions issued by Saudi authorities.
Recently, the Saudi Ministry of Interior warned that capturing, sharing or posting any information, photos or videos related to missile or drone interceptions—or objects that fall to the ground afterward—is illegal and punishable under Saudi law.
In this context, the embassy stressed that, in respect of Saudi law, Bangladeshis should avoid storing, sharing or publishing any sensitive images, videos or information related to the ongoing conflict on social media or mobile devices.
