Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus arrived in Tokyo, Japan, at 2:05pm on Wednesday for an official trip spanning four days.
The Chief Adviser’s Press Wing said he had reached his destination 25 minutes ahead of schedule.
Daud Ali, the ambassador of Bangladesh to Japan, received him at the airport.
Earlier, Yunus left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka for Tokyo at 2:10am on a Cathay Pacific flight to participate in the Nikkei Forum 30th Future of Asia conference and also hold bilateral talks with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba.
He is expected to return home on Saturday after wrapping up his tour.
