UAE Ambassador to Bangladesh Abdulla Ali Abdulla Khaseif AlHmoudi on Monday said his country is keen to share its expertise with Bangladesh in civil aviation, ports and logistics and build a defence partnership.
He also reaffirmed his country’s commitment to strengthen mutual economic and business ties with Bangladesh.
AlHmoudi said this during a reception hosted by the UAE embassy in Dhaka to celebrate the country’s 53rd Union Day, a press release issued by the UAE embassy said.
“We remain focused on direct investment to bolster economic and business cooperation,” the UAE ambassador said.
The envoy also reaffirmed his government’s unwavering commitment to working together with the interim government for a better and more prosperous Bangladesh.
The UAE and Bangladesh are celebrating 50 years of diplomatic relations this year, marking a significant milestone in their shared history.
“We are looking forward to a strategic partnership between our brotherly nations,” said the envoy.
The ambassador praised the contributions of the 1.2 million Bangladeshi expatriates residing in the UAE saying they are making significant contributions to both the UAE and Bangladesh economies.
