Dhaka, Seoul kick off negotiations to sign economic partnership agreement

Bangladesh and South Korea have launched negotiations to sign an economic partnership agreement (EPA) between the two countries.

Commerce Adviser Sk Bashir Uddin and Korean Trade Minister Inkyo Cheong attended the first meeting of the negotiations in Seoul.

A memorandum of understanding was also signed between the two countries as part of the initial step for signing the EPA on trade, investment and infrastructure development.

Commerce Secretary Md Selim Uddin and Korean Deputy Minister for Trade Jongwon Park were present.
