Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud will visit Bangladesh next year.
Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Bangladesh Essa Youssef Essa Al Duhailan made the announcement at the 93rd Saudi National Day reception he hosted at the embassy in Dhaka on Tuesday.
He said the embassy was "eagerly looking forward to welcoming" the crown prince next year. "Inshallah (God willing).”
He said Bangladesh held "a special place in our heart," and the relationship had grown further "due to the stable government and remarkable economic growth" of the country.
The presence of Saudi companies had already increased "substantially,” he said, crediting Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for "facilitating" investment in Bangladesh.
Earlier in June Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said his country was keen to provide comprehensive cooperation in the ongoing development and progress of Bangladesh.
"Saudi Arabia is always keen to provide all-out cooperation in the development and progress of Bangladesh," Mohammed bin Salman told Bangladesh President Mohammed Shahabuddin while exchanging greetings with the former at a reception in Makkah on the occasion of hajj.
