Bangladesh strongly condemns the alleged Houthi bomb-laden drone attack targeting King Abdullah airport in Jizan, Saudi Arabia, on October 8, the Foreign Ministry has said.
The attack left several civilians, including a few Bangladeshis working at the airport, wounded.
Such attacks are a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and moral values and completely unacceptable, said the Foreign Ministry in a press release on Tuesday.
"Bangladesh expresses its grave concerns over the growing number of Houthi militia attacks on Saudi Arabia which undermines the ongoing peace initiatives," it said.
"While urging a peaceful resolution of the Yemen conflict, Bangladesh expresses its solidarity with the government of Saudi Arabia and its people in condemning such irresponsible activities," read the release.
The Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh has been asked to look after Bangladeshi citizens injured in the latest Houthi attack and provide them with necessary support, it said.
