Russian President Vladimir Putin has written to President Md Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, greeting them on Bangladesh's 53rd Independence Day.
“Please accept my warmest greetings on the national holiday of the People's Republic of Bangladesh - Independence Day,” the Russian leader wrote, according to a press release issued Sunday.
Putin continued: “The relations between our two countries are based on the good traditions of friendship and mutual respect. I am confident that further development of constructive bilateral cooperation fully meets the core interests of the people of Russia and Bangladesh, goes in line with the promotion of regional security and stability.
“I wish you sound health and success, as well as peace and prosperity to all your compatriots.”
