Argentine FM: Coming to Bangladesh feels like coming home

Argentine Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship Santiago Cafiero said that coming to Bangladesh felt like coming home to him.

He made this remark after attending a match held at Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) in Dhaka on Tuesday.

The minister said that he felt Bangladesh as home as the country supported Argentina in the Fifa World Cup.

“We have reopened the embassy. I think the decision to reopen the embassy is a great one. Because, as a result, the relationship between our two countries will be stronger,” he added.

BFF President Kazi Salahuddin said: “It was a courtesy visit. A few of our clubs have been visited by the Argentine foreign minister and representatives from several clubs including River Plate.”

The federation's Senior Vice President Abdus Salam Murshedy said: “Since the embassy has been opened and their foreign minister has come, and he has come to the football federation, I think the arrival of the Argentine team is near.”
